North Atlantic: Call for Proposals Announced

Fluid States North calls for participation and presentations from scholars, artists, performers, activists, and any other person(s) who has an interest in performance studies.

You can participate in one of four events at one of three Nordic island sites:

We especially encourage combinations: you can travel and be physically present at one event, and perform or present within the framework or topic of another event - by using the digital communication equipment available to set up a telematic encounter. For example travel to the Pantopia café in Torshavn and perform a cooking lesson, which is transmitted live through the digital media to the temporary kitchen in Fluid States - Solid Food in Copenhagen. Or enroll at the Sisters Academy and produce an audio paper of your experience to be presented telematically at Fluid Sounds in Copenhagen.

Deadline for proposals: now extended to 1 December 2014

Proposals should contain a 500 word description of the proposed project as well as a 200 word biography for each participant, including contact information.

Proposals to be in PDF files, and forwarded to the e-mail of the particular event.

Results of the evaluations of the proposals will be forwarded by November 20, 2014.

Main language is English, while interventions may take place in local Nordic languages.
