Registrations for Rethinking Labor and the Creative Economy now open!


The registration for the conference on 'Rethinking Labor and the Creative Economy: Global Performative Perspectives' is open. Curated by Rustom Bharucha, this conference will not have a call for Presenters + Performers, but there will be a call for Local and Visiting Correspondents - scholars, artists or activists who have an interest in the topic who would like to attend as part of their own research agenda, participate, then present a creative, scholarly or other sort of response that reads the conference conversations through the lens of their own research on the LOG, and, of course, for audience members wishing to attend the activities.

Confirmed presenters include Marin Blazevic, Maaike Bleeker, Soumyabrata Choudhury, Hanne de Bruin, Susan Foster, Gopal Guru, Silvija Jestrovic, Gabriele Klein, Ray Langenbach, John Malpede, Jon McKenzie, Sadanand Menon, Maya Rao, Janelle Reinelt, Nicholas Ridout and Sundar Sarukkai.


Visiting Correspondents

All those who would be interested in attending the conference must register in advance by January 15, 2015. They should contact the co-ordinator of the conference Ameet Parameswaran at providing 1. full name and postal address, 2. professional designation, 3. scanned copy of passport particulars (for participants not holding Indian visas). On receiving this information, all participants will be sent a list of instructions regarding accommodation, travel and visa procedures. Registration fees for all participants are Rs. 1500/- (approximately US$25) which can be paid in New Delhi on the opening day of the conference.
